YOUR FIRST AGENT CONVERSATION

Looking for a Nepali real estate agent in Northern Virginia? Start with someone who can explain the process clearly and help you judge the homes you are considering. Cultural familiarity can make that conversation easier; your search still needs a practical plan.

Four questions before you choose an agent

CHECK 01

How will we narrow the search?

Ask how the agent will compare your budget, location, layout, and timing. A useful shortlist explains why each home fits and what still needs checking.

CHECK 02

How will you explain the paperwork?

Discuss the buyer representation agreement, services, compensation, and offer process before signing. If you prefer to talk in Nepali or another language, ask which support is available.

CHECK 03

What will communication look like?

Agree on a contact method and update frequency. If family members share the decision, ask for a recap everyone can review.

CHECK 04

What will you check beyond the photos?

Ask about monthly costs, property condition, and restrictions affecting your plans. Inspections, lending, and legal questions may need the appropriate specialist.

Bring five things to your first conversation

  • Areas: where you are considering buying.
  • Budget: what feels comfortable and whether you have spoken with a lender.
  • Home needs: your three must-haves.
  • Timing: when you hope to move.
  • Questions: what you want explained before taking the next step.

Kamal has worked with Nepali and Indian clients. Tell him what matters to your household—such as space for guests, a workspace, or a daily commute. The search should follow your needs, with the same careful service for buyers of every background.

Still exploring? You can start here

You do not need to have picked a town or finished financing research. Share where you are in the process. For an independent introduction, see the CFPB’s homebuying resources. Language support helps with explanations; it does not replace understanding the documents you sign.

Already have a listing link? Use our six checks before touring a home found by address to turn it into clear questions for your agent.
